Freedom Song By Bobi Wine Banned By UCC Over Inciting Lyrics

The song titled “Freedom” condemns violations of human rights by the NRM government

The coming reports claims that the Uganda communications commission(UCC) has banned FREEDOM song by artiste Robert Kyagulanyi popularly known as Bobi Wine.

The song titled “Freedom” condemns violations of human rights by the NRM government and accuses President Museveni, who should be a saviour, of subjecting Ugandans to what South Africans went through during the brutal, fascist apartheid regime.

In the song the singing legislator stings the rulers as he reminds them about how they can never win against the will of the people especially in these times of Gikwateko against togikwatako.

UCC describes Bobi wine's lyrics in the song as inciting and misleading to the public an action many have viewed as openly partisan and pro-regime. Radio and TV stations across the country are being warned to refrain from playing it lest they risk a heavy penalty.
